Bathroom Scrub

When I started making the transition from chemical cleaners to natural ones I had a hard time finding a replacement for my Comet powder I used to scrub my bathtub grime and a toilet bowel cleaner. I held onto those the longest but had to make a change as I would get a huge headache every time I cleaned my bathroom and had a toddler crawling about that I was terrified would get into a cupboard and poison himself eating these last two chemical cleaners left in my home (he was the child that couldn't be child proofed no matter what I did). After many experiments I finally found the perfect blend to use as a powder for scrubbing my tub and toilet.
Use this scrub to clean bathtubs, sinks and the toilet.
Ingredients
1 cup baking soda
⅓ cup citric acid
⅓ cup salt
15 drops essential oil
Instructions
Mix powders together and stir well to incorporate.
Add one or more of the cleansing essential oils from below and stir again until well incorporated.
Store in an airtight container.
Either put a tablespoon in your container to scoop and then sprinkle or put the powder in an old spice jar with a sprinkle top.
Cleansing Essential Oils
Cinnamon – very powerful antimicrobial. Virus spores, bacteria, and fungus cannot live in the presence of this oil.
Clove – kills viruses and bacteria.
Lemon – grease stains, stain remover, brightener, disinfectant.
Lemongrass – best oil for disinfecting and purifying.
Lime – removes gum, wood stains, oil stains, grease spots on clothing.
Orange – removes sticky adhesive residue from most surfaces.
Eucalyptus – targets and eliminates bacteria, viruses, and fungi.
Thyme - prevents fungi molds, antibacterial.
Pine - disinfectant
