Hemorrhoids
Hemorrhoids are swollen veins around the anus and in the rectum. They have been known historically as piles. They are similar to varicose veins, which enlarge and lose elasticity resulting in pile (ball) like protrusions into the anal canal.

There are many factors that can cause them including; sitting or standing for longs periods of time, lifting objects improperly, straining bowel movements, connection to constipation or diarrhea, violent coughing, lack of exercise, liver damage, allergies, not getting enough fiber, hormone changes, obesity, and increase in age (over 50).
Symptoms include itching, burning, pain, inflammation, swelling around anus, irritation, excretion and bleeding.
